At Swiss Fondue by Heinz, we are proud to share the warmth and tradition of authentic Swiss dining in the heart of Stowe, Vermont. As a small, family-owned restaurant. We offer a dining experience centered around comfort, connection and thoughtfully prepared food. From our made-from-scratch Swiss fondue to our carefully selected wines and craft beers, every detail is chosen to create a meal that feels both special and welcoming.
Chef Heinz,originally from Switzerland, brings more than 50 years of culinary experience and a lifelong dedication to Swiss cuisine. Throughout his career, he has traveled extensively and worked in kitchens around the world, building a depth of knowledge and expertise shaped by decades of hands-on experience. His Swiss roots, global culinary journey, and unwavering commitment to quality are at the heart of Swiss Fondue by Heinz, where tradition, craftsmanship, and authentic flavor come together in every meal.
His wife, Chef May, originally from Thailand, helped build the restaurant from the ground up and has spent the past 13 years preparing authentic Swiss fondue alongside Heinz. Through years of hands-on experience and dedication to Swiss culinary tradition, she has mastered the art of fondue, helping ensure that every bite reflects the true flavors and craftsmanship of Switzerland.
Together, Heinz and May operate a family-owned restaurant where every guest is welcomed with genuine care and hospitality. Joining them is Heinz’s stepdaughter, Preeya, who warmly greets guests at the door and helps create the kind of inviting atmosphere that makes every visit feel like coming home.
